Chapter 10 – The Sun

      Sun in astrology

The sun is the center of the solar system. All other planets rotate around this sun. He is the head of the solar system and hence he is the king of all planets. So, he is called the Royal planet.

In the zodiac system, he rules the sign Leo/Simha. He gets exalted in Aries/Mesha and debilitated in Libra/Thula. Its mool trikon sign is first 20 degrees of Leo.

Sun takes approximately 30 days to pass one zodiac sign. To complete one whole orbit of the zodiac sign, approximately it takes 12 months.
In vedic astrology Sun is natural malefic planet. Sun is the significator/karaka of one’s soul, ego or self. He significates politics, father, government etc.
